Overview
The Verifone Commander Site Controller is a powerful forecourt and in-store management system that supports high-speed transactions, EMV compliance, and integration with major payment processors. CardConnect, a Fiserv company, integrates with Commander via the Buypass Rapid Connect EMV platform.
Step-by-Step Setup
1. Merchant Profile Configuration
Contact CardConnect or Fiserv to ensure your merchant account is enabled for Rapid Connect EMV.
Confirm your Terminal ID, Dealer ID, and Buypass credentials.
Fleet card compatibility for commercial customers.
Remote diagnostics and updates via Verifone’s VRSD system.
Single point of contact for POS and payments through CardConnect.
2. Commander Configuration
Access the Commander Configuration Client via browser:
URL: https://{sitecontroller_IP}/ConfigClient.html
Navigate to:
Payment Controller > EPS Configuration > BuyPass Configuration > FEP
Enter your Rapid Connect credentials and save.
3. EMV Enablement
Go to:
EPS Global Configuration > EMV Configuration
Enable EMV and download CAPK files from the Buypass host.
This activates EMV on connected PIN pads (e.g., RP10, MX915).
4. Hardware Compatibility
Use Verifone MX series or RP10 Pinpad for EMV and contactless payments.
Commander supports up to 64 fueling positions and mixed dispenser brands.
5. Forecourt Integration
Connect Commander to Wayne Ovation, Gilbarco, or Tokheim dispensers via the Forecourt Control Interface Box.
Supports RS485 and Current Loop interfaces for dispenser communication.
6. Fleet Card Support
CardConnect via Buypass supports:

Fleet card settings can be customized in Commander to prompt for:
Driver ID
Vehicle ID
