Overview
Wayne Ovation® fuel dispensers are compatible with secure payment platforms like CardConnect, which operates through Fiserv’s Buypass Rapid Connect. When paired with the Verifone Commander Site Controller, this setup enables seamless forecourt and in-store payment processing.
1. Hardware Requirements
Wayne Ovation® Dispensers with iX Pay® or iX Pay 2 secure payment modules 1.
Verifone Commander Site Controller with EPS (Electronic Payment System) module.
EMV-capable PIN pads (e.g., RP10, MX915).
CardConnect merchant account enabled for Buypass Rapid Connect.
2. CardConnect Merchant Account Setup
Ensure your account is configured for Buypass Rapid Connect EMV.
Obtain:
Terminal ID
Dealer ID
Buypass credentials
3. Verifone Commander Configuration
Using the Configuration Client on Commander:
EPS Setup
Navigate to:
Payment Controller > EPS Configuration > BuyPass Configuration > FEP
Enter your CardConnect Buypass credentials.
EMV Enablement
Go to:
EPS Global Configuration > EMV Configuration
Enable EMV and download CAPK files from Buypass host.
Forecourt Initialization
Access:
Forecourt > Initialization > Fuel
This links Wayne dispensers to Commander’s control system 3.
4. Wayne Dispenser Configuration
Ensure dispensers are equipped with iX Pay® secure payment modules, which support:
PCI PTS v4.0 compliance
EMV chip
NFC/contactless
Fleet card support (WEX, Voyager, Fuelman) 1
Dispensers can be retrofitted with iX Pay modules if not factory-equipped.
5. Fleet Card & Payment Support
CardConnect via Buypass supports:
Fleet cards (WEX, Voyager, Fleet One)
Credit/debit
Mobile wallets
Wayne dispensers prompt for:
Driver ID
Vehicle ID
Odometer reading
6. Testing & Go-Live
Reboot Commander and test host communication.
Validate EMV and fleet card transactions at both pump and POS.
Use Commander Console for diagnostics and reporting.
